New issue of Luxury Portfolio magazine inspires with fresh style and substance

By LISA KLEIN

Luxury Portfolio International® has unveiled the latest issue of its namesake magazine, chock full of editorial content on all things luxury.

Volume 12, issue one of Luxury Portfolio magazine is the organization’s largest to date, and centers around inspiring its readers with pages of beautiful homes, far-flung travel locales and noteworthy people.

“In what has been an unprecedented time of sweeping change and uncertainty, there is an undeniable desire to flourish day-to-day and cultivate the most precious of moments and memories,” said Mickey Alam Khan, president of LPI and editor in chief of the magazine.

“For that reason, we built this issue around what stirs us, from the plains of Africa to the depths of outer space,” he said.

LPI, a network of more than 220 independent, locally connected luxury real estate brokerages in 37 countries, publishes its magazine biannually. The print version is distributed at newsstands and across the United States and Canada, including Barnes & Noble, and can also be found in international airport lounges.

The newest issue clocks in at a whopping 260 pages – a coffee table book in spirit if not by name, its cover graced by the late C.Z. Guest, whose influence along with other midcentury icons is explored in a feature within.

Among the real estate stories are features such as a collection celebrity homes for sale, preserving historic architecture in New Orleans and economic updates for the year ahead.

Design-focused content includes details on an impressive sculptural art collection, advice on creating the perfect personal home library and a dive into the world of Swiss watchmaking.

The travel section takes readers on safari in Africa, amongst the nomads of Mongolia, into stately holiday homes in the French countryside and all the way to outer space.

Lifestyle pieces run from an exploration of polo to the classy atmosphere of the Carlyle hotel in New York and a profile of Chris Gardner, author of the memoir, The Pursuit of Happyness, who discusses his latest endeavors to lift up a new generation of entrepreneurs.

The magazine marks the latest in LPI’s ongoing journey to refresh its brand and place in the luxury market, beginning in 2020 with Mr. Alam Khan taking the helm.

Last year the organization rolled out a new face by way of its Web site and blog, which publishes daily articles, earning Mr. Alam Khan a place on RISMedia’s 2022 newsmakers list.

The previous issue of Luxury Portfolio magazine embodied this shift for LPI, with consumer-focused high-end editorial features on real estate, design, travel and lifestyle.

The latest issue further cements LPI’s status as not just a leader in the luxury real estate world, but the entire luxury lifestyle sphere.

“As the global authority on prime property and luxury lifestyle, we view this compilation of insightful narratives as one of the most enlightening – a ‘roadmap’ for living life to the fullest,” Mr. Alam Khan said.
